About me

Many years ago, I heard someone say something that, at the time, was just nice to hear. However, as I've remembered the saying, it has become a much more profound statement to me. And I've done the best to apply it to my life. It goes something like this...."Learn to enjoy your own company, because if you don't like spending time with yourself then how can you expect someone else to enjoy spending time with you." This is very true for me, because I've noticed that some people fear being by themselves, and they desire to be attached to someone even to the detriment of themselves. They'd rather be with anyone than be alone. I've learned to enjoy being by myself, and adding a partner to my life provides icing to my cake. I love cake, but adding icing to it makes a little sweeter, if you know what mean? That's what I'm looking for in my life....a little icing to my cake. I don't want someone coming into the relationship looking for their "other half", because I think it's important that you come into a relationship as a "full person" who's looking for another full and complete individual. I don't need someone to complete me. I am complete, and I want her to be complete as well. Anyway, I also enjoy traveling, and I will be making plans to travel to Eastern Europe in 2025. I'd love to meet some interesting people on my life's journey.
